OPGFA FREE EYE HOSPITAL is a private not-for-profit institution offering Free Eye Care and Comprehensive Community Based services to persons across Uganda โ both privileged and underprivileged. We believe sight is a fundamental human right.
Licensed in October 2023, our hospital operates with a 10-bed inpatient capacity and provides 8-hour daily out-patient services. Our facility is fully equipped with a laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology unit including B-SCAN ultrasound โ all available at absolutely no charge.
We are recognized as a Base Hospital for Uganda’s National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB), and have operated partnerships at the highest levels of the Ugandan and Pakistani governments.
Our society registration number R173946868NB was awarded in 2021, the same year our founding team conducted their first free eye surgery camps โ marking the beginning of a movement to make Uganda cataract-free by 2030.
